Come to Amherst and experience the quaint, small town feeling of a charming community with a distinctive business district, unique architecture, and a historic downtown that characterizes nineteenth century America.

Main Street Amherst has been designed to promote all aspects of the downtown and commercial business districts by improving economic management, strengthening public participation, recruiting new businesses, rehabilitating buildings, and making Amherst a fun place to visit.

Volunteers are always needed to help reach our goals! No amount of time or energy is too small. There are many different ways for you or business to be involved. Check out the Community Calendar for various committee meetings and events to learn more.

What's Happening

MAIN STREET AMHERST GENERAL MEETING

Come and learn what is happening in Amherst! The M.S.A. general meeting is held on the first Thursday of each month from 9am to 10am inside the Main Street Amherst Community Center (255 Park Avenue). 

Miracle on Main Street - Friday, December 6, 2019 at 6pm

 

Lolly the Trolley tickets go on sale Tuesday, November 5 from 6pm to 7pm at Main Street Amherst - tickets are $5.00 per person and cannot be purchased online. Only 432 tickets will be sold for this magical event.
