Witches Wednesday

🎃👻🧙‍♀️ Join us for a fun evening of shopping, dining, a hat judging contest, a full costume contest, and other spooky shenanigans! Create the best hat and receive some amazing Witchy Winnings! Please feel free to dress up and enter the overall costume contest. There will be three winners for each category. The first-place hat winner will be a judge next year, get the first-place basket, will get the Bling Broom for 1 year and priority parking next year! Families are always welcome, but you must be 21 years old to enter the contests. 🎃👻🧙‍♀️

📅 You may pre-register online until 10/17/23 at midnight. If you register online, on the night of the event, October 18th, you will go to Captain’s Club to get your assigned number for the contests from 3:30pm-6pm. If you have not pre-registered, you may also register in person at Main Street Amherst from 3:30pm-6pm on the night of the event, October 18th. If you are not participating in the costume contest, you don’t need to register. 📅

🏰 Start the evening at Captain’s Club with a selfie station, then out the back door and through the spooky alley! Then fly around the streets to all the different retail establishments for some shopping and fun! Don’t forget about our restaurants and taverns to grab a bite to eat and see what specials they may have. At 8pm please join us at 5 Points Tavern for cocktails and contests with our special guest judges. After the contest, we will pull our 50/50 raffle winner, so make sure you get those along the way! 🏰

📢 IMPORTANT INFORMATION 📢

• Pre-register from now until 10/14/23. Anyone pre-registered will check in at Captain’s Club located at 232 Park Avenue and receive their number on October 18th from 3:30pm-6pm.
• Register in person on October 18th at Main Street Amherst located at 255 Park Avenue from 3:30pm-6pm. Your number will be assigned at the time of your in-person registration.
• Make sure to get your picture at the Selfie Wall inside Captain’s Club. #AmherstWitchesWednesday
• NEWLY ADDED Check out the spooky alley! Go out the back door of Captain’s Club, through the spooky alley, and then fly around to all the other establishments!
• The event will run from 4pm-7:30pm – after that, head to 5 Points Tavern as the costume contests start at 8pm.
• There will be three prizes given for the most creative hat. The grand prize winner of the hat contest will include the first-place basket, the Bling Broom, and will be a judge and receive priority parking next year.
• NEWLY ADDED There will be three prizes given for the best costume! Our focus is still on making the most creative hat, but your amazing costumes need to be judged as well.
• 6 prize baskets will be awarded in total, and whoever has the most creative hat will get additional Witchy Winnings!
• All contest participants must be 21 or older.
• 50/50 tickets will be sold as 6 for $5, 15 for $10, and 30 for $20. The winner will be chosen at 5 Points Tavern after the contests are complete, and the winner does not need to be present to win.
